There were 2 different caps originally, a screw-on type and a 1/4 turn "radiator" type. The radiator style (69961) is no longer available from Briggs. The screw type (791545) is available from your local B & S dealer. The screw type measures about 1 3/4" . It's possible the tank has been replaced by something else.
