Greetings all! I have a good running model Y, but I am not familiar with how the carburator is supposed to function. I choke it when I start it, wait for the pop, take the choke all the way off, kick it again and off she goes.....I give the engine about 10-15 seconds of run time then to get the engine to smooth out and stop running rich, I press the (for the lack of knowing the proper name) plunger to where the engine smooths out and stops running rich. I need to know how that plunger is supposed to operate because I have to hold that spring loaded plunger in place or the engine returns to running rich and blowing black smoke. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Praise,

Sean aka Zippo
