I have a Maytag 92 that I got in non-running condition. I tore it apart, cleaned it and painted it, but it's got no spark. With a multimeter, I found the points to be shorted out. The moving point rests right on the metal pin where it rocks back and forth! How was this pin insulated by the factory?
