Here is an excerpt from a book entitled "The Small-Engine Handbook" by Peter Hunn, first published in 2005 by Motorbooks. ISBN 0-7603-2049-7
"Just a short mention here in case you happen upon a 1947-1965 Gladden-built engine originally used on its Mustang small-frame motorcycles, but sometimes adapted to other imaginative uses. Motors from the Glendale, California, manufacturer include the Series 40 and Series 50 with a 14.7-ci displacement, and the 19.4-ci Series 75. All were single-cylinder, side-valve, four-strokes in the 9.5 to 10.5 horsepower range. Gladden engines sometimes were referred to as the "Bumble Bee."
Reading the above text closely I believe the horsepower of the Series 40/50 engines isn't accurate. I believe it's 5HP. Engine master extraordinaire John Newman Jr. has pictures of a couple of fine examples here: http://www.smokstak.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63490
